Most schools offer certification in Medical Billing and Coding, not informing their students that a certificate in “Medical Billing and Coding” will more than likely NOT get your foot in the door. After graduation, students have found themselves out of thousands of dollars with an unrecognized certification. There are only two nationally recognized credentialing associations, which are the AAPC (www.aapc.com) and AHIMA (www.ahima.com).
Our program is approved by the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders). The American Academy of Professional Coders (www.aapc.com) is the nation’s largest education and credentialing association for medical coders. Upon graduation and successful completion of the coding exam you will receive national certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with the AAPC!
